Aspens Baby Blessing

May 6th, 2012 Aspen was blessed and we had Kades parents, Dane, Tason and my entire family come to see her receive her baby blessing! It was exciting and was a wonderful spiritual experience:) She is such a beautiful little princess. Her dad did the blessing and she is now and will become a very blessed little lady!!!

3 months

Aspen is 3 months old!!! She is such a good baby it is surreal! She sleeps through the night and has been for at least a month or more:) She is kooing and loves to give you a gummy smile! She can sit up in her bumbo and loves tummy time. She is such a good traveler this past month I have been gone every weekend and if she isn't asleep she is just awake enjoying the ride. She gained 5 lbs. in the last month, her pediatrician said I should sale my milk on ebay!!! Ha that would be a great part time job if possible:) Emmitt tries everyday to make her smile and still won't go to sleep without her in the room even if she is crying. He is such a great older bother, it is amazing to see how protective he is already with her.  Aspen is growing so fast and I still can't believe how healthy she has become! It is such a blessing to have her in my arms and our home everyday! We love her so much!
Emmitt is 2 1/2 and such a little toddler! He will tell you everything you want to know with his emotions! The best Emotion is knowing when he is happy/suprised, his eyes just light up with happiness to the point they shine, as with his big grin! He still has so much energy it is hard to keep up with him. He reminds us to say prayers and is such a good example to Kade and I already! He loves Dinosaurs and Sharks. If he could he would wear a shark or dinosaur shirt everyday and ends up throwing off his shirt if it doesn't have one on. He loves to hide from Kade and I which is fun but ends up scareing me when he suddenly dissappears and hiding when I don't know it.  His favorite books are," How does a dinosaur eat all his food" and " Row Row Row Your Boat" he will sing every verse with you. He is still the tall and skinny chicken leg boy on the block and We love him! These two even on my worst days know how to make me happy! I love them more and more and more everyday!

Aspen's Baby Pictures

Aspen is going to be 6 weeks old tomorrow! She is growing like crazy and has such a sweet spirit.  It was so much fun to have her pictures done and Jayme did such a cute job! This little girl loves to just check everything out, she pays such close attention to everything. I can watch her all day just looking around attentively! She holds her head up already to see whats going on or to watch where Emmitt is going next! She always holds her hands in such dainty girlie ways, she is such a little lady! I think she looks a whole lot like her Daddy :) However, other people have said she looks like me.  All I can say she is a BEAUTIFUL baby and her Dad, her brother, and her mom love her so much!

If only time could hold still and you could stay this small!

EASTER 2012

Easter started off real good in Kanab with coloring Easter eggs and decorating Easter cupcakes! Emmitt was super excited!

Emmitt enjoyed his decorating job! If we would have let him do them all by himself, this is how they would have turned out....

He waited patiently while Granny G. got the dye for the eggs ready.  She had bought twelve dozen for the kids to decorate.

Then Kade and mitt got started!

All I can say is this kid couldn't have enough! Notice the almost full carton of dyed eggs in front of me.... Yes he colored all of those eggs!  He then continued to do it till he had four cartons full.

Then along came Mikkel, Jerron, Traj, and Tav to join in on the fun!

Tenley looks like a giant compared to Aspen, I seriously can't believe Aspen will be that big in only a few months! They grow to fast:(

Kanab had their Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Park! Emmitt is one really good Easter Egg finder. He kept spotting so many eggs he couldn't figure out which ones to grab next! Then we noticed he would only pick up the green ones first that he spotted:) His favorite color right now is green. He picks everything green!

Good Easter!

A New Life With Two

Emmitt in the last few weeks has been doing really well with having a new little sister in the family. It took him a little while before he really wanted to hold her, but now he is actually asking us if he can and always giving her kisses. Of course he is starting to try and get our attention as much as possible like any 2 1/2 year old would. His new way of doing this is grabbing anything and everything that he can possibly climb onto and start pulling crazy, funny faces at us and yelling," MOMMY!!!, DADDY!!!" All I can do is laugh!

Kade and Emmitt have become real good pals over the last few weeks with the new baby. They have an official outing everyday. Kade is so good about giving me a break and taking Emmitt out while I get in a nap or just relax with Aspen. I love you Honey, You seriously are the best!

Emmitt is such a great big brother, He already takes her diapers to the garbage and is so soft with her. He will even go up to her and hold her hand smiling and talking high pitched jibberish, which I'm sure he gets from watching Kade and I talk to her:)

Baby Aspen has been such a wonderful blessing into our lives, She is beautiful and Healthy and we couldn't have asked for anything more! We have been through some rough patches with her high levels of Bilirubin but we can officially say she is doing great! She has already gained a whole pound and grown 1 inch. ( 8 lbs. 4oz). She is still small and dainty which I love!
